Jim Purcell is a business consultant and business owner specializing in growth strategies and turnarounds of struggling companies. He has 20 years of experience in small and mid-size public and privately held companies primarily focused on management, marketing, sales, and budgeting in the manufacturing & distribution industries.
He has served as a Board Member of Illinois National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), Legislative Affairs Committee member of Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), and a member of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA).
Jim is a lifelong Republican and has been an active volunteer for the GOP at the local level.
Jim Purcell is a 1989 graduate of Western Illinois University and a 2000 graduate of Pepperdine University with an MBA in General Management.
He coaches the Chili’s Tri-City Girls U12 soccer team and has coached Batavia Youth Baseball, Mahomet (IL) Girls Youth Soccer, Mahomet (IL) Boys Youth Soccer, and Naperville Touch football.
Jim and his wife, Jill (Sorensen), have been married for 18 years and have three children - Katherine Elizabeth (10), Michael James (8), and Sarah Grace (6). They reside in Batavia.
Jim and his family are members of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia and are active volunteers in the district and community.
